Private Commission A fan of some of my early work in the game industry contacted me asking if I had any original art left from some card games I'd done in the late 1990s. I'd done a fair number of traditional-media illustrations in the horror genre back then, and I was able to talk him into commissioning something new and original in that particular field once more. Astute observers and fans of horror and sci-fi may recognize the nod to a cult classic genre film from the 80's. This is another experiment in mixed media, with the piece going back and forth between the traditional and digital worlds. The final media to be applied was colored pencil, which were my go-to tools when cutting my teeth (ha ha) in the marketplace 20+ years ago. Special thanks to my friend & model, Andy Pilarski. A fantastic artist, teacher, & horror fan I know through working together at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.
