THE KING IN YELLOW

Artwork commissioned by Fantasy Flight Games for an expansion to their Arkham Horror boardgame. This particular game is nestled under their "Call of Cthulhu" line, based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Great fun to work on!

Initial Sketch

Hastur figure (Final Drawing).

The painted symbol that appears on the wall was first done using very quick brush strokes in ink (in individual parts). They were then pieced together digitally for the final piece and adjusted for perspective before changing the color to yellow.
